This cultural division of Tehran university of medical sciences has been designed with colaboration of Iran's ministry of health and medical education to serve as a source of attractive documents, not only for medical students demanding historical information but also every interested person particularly researchers, cultural tourists and academic delegates from the other Iranian or international universities.

The Museum inaugurated in 2001

Dr. Larijani chancellor of Tehran university of medical sciences recently announced that the museum with the aid of researchers started a program for saving of historical documents of medical scienses and keep this resource safe for the future generations.He stated this in a special ceremony on the occasion of Praising Week of the National Cultural Heritage in the museum of history of medical scienses
